summary: Chloe ponders life and turns to the only one who can help her.
Mr. Luthor told me I was just looking for mystery where there wasn't one.

I'll give you a mystery, Mr. Luthor. What is the hidden agenda of a old man investing time and money into the daughter of one of his ex-employees and her fetish with believing the unbelievable?

Then again, I always HAVE believed the unbelievable. So maybe this is all one wonderful dream come true.

Ok, so the ambitious writer in me is bursting, but the sleuthing reporter just won't buy this.

I mean, what about this whole level three myth, and the fact that Lionel Luthor almost cost me the whole life I've built in and around Smallville?

Man, this is like having an angel and a devil on each of my shoulders.

And Clark is being such a loser. I just don't think I can handle him anymore. And it's not like I can blame anyone but my own stupid, selfish self. Lana doesn't know any better and Clark---well, he DOESN'T belong to me.

But I do sort of feel like he isn't keeping many promises lately. I mean, it is kind of like he is cheating in our relationship, taking as many shortcuts and rain checks as he can, making up for it all with a smile.

I just can't wrap my head around this anymore.

Chloe sighed slightly as she put down her pen and closed her journal, slowly closing her eyes and starting a prayer the way she started a prayer every night.

"Dear Almighty Father, I need some help here---"
