The first one's intense, the second knocks him off his feet.
Soft pops and then innocuous pressure in his side.
Sam's shocked face.
Then everything's lost in a haze of white pain.
Harsh pants enter his awareness first.
Sam's hands pushing him out flat.
A dull ache radiating through his abdomen.
Someone swears and hot pressure sears his gut.
He can't hear anything over the noise. Sharp cries of a wounded animal.
Finally Sam's breaks through the chaos.
"Step one, Dean, calm down."
He grasps at Sam's voice.
"Step two, slow your breathing."
Pant and hold.
"Step three, ER time."
