A/N: I decided to do a fanfic on Adam and Haylen because all of the other character couplings have so many stories about them.

HAYLEN

Haylen didn't understand why Adam disliked her so much. All she did was notice one thing that he didn't. It wasn't like she was a threat to his job or anything, so she was pretty much at a loss. It was probably because she found the bloody print in the elevator. Although she didn't want to admit it, she had a huge crush on Adam. He was good looking and he seemed like a pretty cool guy, except when she was around.

ADAM

He didn't know why he was such a jerk around Haylen. She'd never done anything to him to hurt him. All she did was find a left behind print. He liked her, a lot. Well, probably more than that. But she would probably never like him. She was so beautiful and nice, and she probably thought he was nothing but a jerk. Adam figured it was no use to ask her out because he already knew the answer. "NO!"

That answer played in his mind nonstop. He'd been rejected before, but he thought if she rejected him, he'd be more heart broken than he'd ever been before. Being nice wouldn't hurt. He had no reason to not like her, so he'd start his plan to ask her out a little at a time.

IN THE LAB

"Goooooooood morning, Haylen."

"Wow, that's a first."

"What is?"

"You're actually being nice to me."

"Why wouldn't I be nice to you?"

"Because you hate me? Seriously Adam, I don't know what I did to you to make you hate me."

"I don't hate you, and if I came across as hating you then I'm sorry because I Don't hate you. I actually like you… A lot."

"What?"

"I felt really bad about being such a jerk to you because you never did anything to you then I thought about how pretty you are which made me think and I like you, more than a lot actually."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah and if you don't like me back then I completely understand and…"

He couldn't say anything else because Haylen pulled him into a huge kiss.

"Listen, I like you more than a lot too."

They both were blushing and had huge smiles on their faces.

"So… umm... would you like to go out with me?"

"I would love to."

"Great!"

They kissed again before getting back to work, hoping that no one saw.

LATER THAT NIGHT

Haylen's buzzer to her apartment went off and she let Adam into her in. She was wearing a black cocktail dress with matching pumps, her hair straight, and perfect make up. Adam was wearing dress shoes and pants and a navy blue button up shirt.

Adam looked at her with his mouth wide open and handed her a single red rose.

"You look beautiful."

"Thanks. You look pretty amazing yourself."

"Let's go."

"Where are we going?"

"That's for me to know and for you to find out."

Their cab stopped in front of a fancy Italian restaurant. They ate their dinner and had a great time. They had a lot in common and secretly they thought that this person could be the one. Adam and Haylen arrived at her apartment and they shared one last kiss.

"Thank you, Adam. I had a great time."

"I'm glad you did and so did I. do you think I could ever convince you to go out with me again?"

"I think that could be arranged."

They said goodbye and he left. They weren't able to stop smiling, even in their sleep.
