Spencer Reid smiled.
Nothing unusual about that, he had done it on more than one occasion, and had been know to cause other people to smile as well.
This smile he felt.
Actually felt it warming his body.
With this smile, he decided to forego his analytical thought processes of how or why his body would react the way it did.
He simply felt it.
He enjoyed the sensation – he wanted to file it away so that he could bring up the feeling whenever he wanted.
Whenever he was unsure of himself.
Whenever he needed to feel normal, no the oddity he knew he was.
This remarkable event – the catalyst to the sensation had turned and walked away.
"Love you Genius – don't ever forget..." she called out as she turned around and walked backwards without a care for her safety.
He raised his hand. "I won't – ever," he promised solemnly.
"You know she means it," Derek said as he placed his hand on Reid's shoulder.
"Yeah, I do."
Spencer smiled.
