Random one-shot I felt I just had to write. Who can relate to this story? Me, me meeee! Anyway, R&R?

Actress

She was an actress, always acting out her role perfectly when he was around. She had to, because otherwise he'd notice, and that'd be disastrous. She was going to tell him, she really was, but not now, she wasn't ready, but she was planning to. Scheming carefully, she had to do it the right way! Until then, she had to bide her time.

Texting him almost every day, because she didn't want to lose contact with him, and he was always fun to talk to, in his own and very quaint little way. She texted him good morning as soon as she woke up, and when he responded, which he did very quickly now that he understood how to use a mobile phone and knew she was going to talk to him, she waited a couple of minutes before texting back. She didn't want to seem all desperate, nobody likes desperate people, so therefore she acted calm and pretended she had other things to do, like she was doing a lot more than just waiting for him to reply.

At their get-togethers, she was casual, as casual as one can possibly be. And every time any of the others teased her and said, "Oh look, she loves you" to him, and blinking at her, she just laughed it off oh so very casually. He never suspected anything, after all, he was a man, and men just weren't compatible with the feelings of young girls. To him, she must look so very silly, but her hyperactivity was simply her venting her nervousness around him. She was sure some of the others understood, that's why they found it so amusing to tease her, but she was also sure they wouldn't tell him but let her do it when she was ready.

Why was it so hard for the great ninja Yuffie Kisaragi to admit her feelings of love to her comrade? After all, though divine in her eyes, Vincent Valentine was just a human like her.
