"Aw sweetheart, beautiful girl like you can do so much better than a no-account drifter like me." He kisses her hand and makes for the door.

Sammy was still sleeping when he got back to the motel, fresh first-aid supplies and room paid. "S'ok little brother, I got everything we need now."
