What? Another one-shot? Yes, another one-shot. I've been scanning the archives and so far, no one has written the spontaneous kiss scene. So I've decided to try!

Going down the stairs with a frown on her face, Finn was almost amused. She overreacted to most situations (it was endearing really). But this time, it wasn't that funny (laughing at her). Rachel Berry usually walked with liveliness and joy, but seeing her like this made him kind of sad.
So he decided to return the favor. She always encouraged him, why couldn't he do the same?
"Hey." He called out.
She looked back.
"We need to talk." He stated, approaching her.
She looked bored- almost dead when he went in front of her.
"We had a chance at keeping it together in Mr. Shue's until you decided to bail."
She didn't flinch.
He picked a different strategy- honesty.
"You're our leader, Rachel."
It was true. She was the one who took charge and she was the one who took the responsibility.
"The way you're on everyone all the time is annoying, but it's also what keeps the club motivated."
Rachel Berry was annoying, but she was kind and sweet. She wasn't the typical kind and sweet but she was. She just showed it a completely different and direct way.
"You and I are gonna fix this. We're going to Regionals and we're gonna win this thing."
He hoped his pep talked helped her. He hoped he helped her.
She was still frowning after he said that.
He blew it. He knew he wasn't smart enough to convince her. She was way smarter than him and he had to accept that. What was he expecting anyway? She wouldn't say he's brilliant and kiss him and be with him. He didn't help her. In fact, he thinks he's made it worse.
He was about to walk away when she kissed him.
It wasn't an innocent kiss, and it wasn't a passionate kiss. It was a simple kiss. An honest kiss. Their kiss. Sweet, simple, and direct- just like them.
Confusion must have been been written on his face because she pulled back and smiled.

I honestly believe that Finn was thinking this. Or maybe I'm just delusional. You never know.
