Yay! They finally have a Left Behind section on fanfiction.net! This takes
place during The Remnant (book10), when Chloe is off on that mission with
Mac and Hannah to save George. Oh, I don't quite know the color of Chloe's
eyes, so don't get mad at me if it's wrong.
Disclaimer: I don't own any Left Behind characters.
Worries
Buck paced around the room in the Chicago Strong Building with Kenny Bruce in his arms. The 15-month-old child looked up at his father with his green eyes. Chloe's eyes.
How he missed his wife. Why did she have to go to Greece? Why hadn't he stopped her? Buck shook his head. She was a stubborn woman, and she got her way.
He dreaded to think what might be happening right now, in Greece. Was Chloe all right? Somehow he could not shake the feeling that she was dead. It wasn't as if she was gone forever, though. He knew he would see her in less than three and a half years at the Glorious Appearing, maybe sooner.
A door opened behind him and Buck turned to see Zeke come in.
"You're worried about Chloe, aren't you?" he said.
Z always seemed to know more than he let on. Was Buck's anxiety that obvious?
"You shouldn't worry about her. She's a strong woman, Buck, she can take care of herself."
"Your right Zeke. She can take care of herself. That's one of the things I love about her. It's just. I feel as if I shouldn't have let her go. If she dies, I don't know what I will do. I don't want Kenny to live the rest of the Tribulation without his mother."
"He won't. Chloe will make it, along with Mac, Hannah, and George. They're smart people. Plus we have Chang at the palace."
Chang. What would the Tribulation Force do without him? The computer genius was what kept them safe from prying GC eyes. Using the technology that David Hassid set up before he was shot, Chang was capable of almost anything. It was because of him the three believers could go and rescue George.
Buck set the baby down on the bed. "I think I'll go check on the others. Will you watch Kenny for a minute?" With that he left the room to seek Enoch and the members of the newly relocated The Place.
A/N: I know, I know, it's short and kind of pointless. It may not follow the book very much. But remember, this is my first Left Behind story and my first serious fic (the rest are funny). I would appreciate reviews!!!
