Pathetic

"Dranzer!" I shouted.
It happened unexpectedly. Dranzer was covered in purple flames...Then, it disappeared into the bit-chip. My beyblade was knocked out of the battle-dish...I felt my eyes widen as the color shrank. My dark-blue beyblade landed at my feet. I was defeated. Beaten by a red-headed punk. That couldn't have happened...It couldn't have...The battle didn't even last for ten minutes. And...I lost.
Johnny, or whatever, was saying something...But I could hear was the pounding in my ears. I was frozen in place. My wide eyes felt dry, but I couldn't blink. I gulped, trying to calm myself down. I watched as Johnny said something and walked out of the room, Oliver, Robert, and Enrique following.
Actually, all I could do was stare. Stare into space and try to replay in my mind what hapenned.
"Hey, Kai, it's okay..." Tyson comforted unsurely and gently.
He should be unsure. If I wasn't so shocked, he would have a broken nose by now. Trying to steady my shaking hand, I bent and picked up Dranzer. It was still warm from the beybattle.
"...It's okay, Kai," Tyson repeated.
He was really asking for it, damn him.
"There was nothing we could do to help him," Dizzi stated.
Even the laptop's feeling sorry me! Stupid computer...How about I break you in half?
"It's my fault, Kai," Kenny sighed apologetically. "I should've done more research on Johnny's bit-beast..."
Oh, and now the nerd was starting, too? I felt completely pathetic as I studied my beyblade...I needed to be alone...Alone with Dranzer...I hated it when others took pity in me. Who was next?
"It's no one's fault," Ray assured. (I should've known.) "Johnny just showed us we weren't the best beybladers around."
I could tell he was saying more, but I blocked it all out. It's not like I cared...I just stared at Dranzer. Was he getting weaker? Did I need a new bit-beast? A new beyblade?...Or...Was it me?
