Shadow Shifter.
Starfire was sitting on the couch watching TV when suddenly, a tiny black kitten leapt onto her lap. She took notice of the little feline and let out a loud squeal of delight as she picked it up.
"You are such a cute little kitten!" she said happily. "I do know you are not Beast Boy, since your fur is not green. Therefore, how did you get here?" she stared at the kitten's eyes. The kitten then gave her a Cheshire cat grin.
"Surprise, Starfire," the kitten said. Starfire, in her surprise, dropped the kitten onto the floor.
"You can speak!" she gasped.
The kitten then morphed into a blue haired teen, dressed in an all black suit with matching gloves, boots, a cloak and a golden cobra symbol on his chest. It was Shadowcobra and he had been disguised as a kitten.
"So, you thought I was cute, huh?" he smirked.
"You are a shape shifter!" she realized.
"Of course I am, Starfire. Didn't you remember our sparring session when I turned into a swarm of bats and then a large snake?" he sat down next to her.
"So, you can shape shift into anything?" she inquired.
"Yes, but unfortunately, I can only shape shift into a silhouette version of the subject," he answered. Noticing the blank and confused look on her face, he elaborated. "When I shape shift, I'm using my shadow magic and because of that," he demonstrated by morphing into the black kitten again, "I am all black in color. Like a shadow."
Starfire picked up Shadow and stroked her friend behind the ear. He let out a contented purr. Raven walked in and saw the scene.
"Hey Star," Raven noticed the kitten, "A new pet?"
"No Raven," Starfire giggled, "This is Shadow."
"So you named it after Shadowcobra. You must really like him," Raven answered, not realizing the truth yet. Shadow rolled his eyes. He squirmed out of Star's grasp and reformed into his human form in a swirl of black shadows.
"It's me, Raven," he quirked an eyebrow. Raven's eyes widened.
"Wow, you can shape shift like Beast Boy. Very nice," Raven said, impressed.
"I can also do birds," he shape shifted into a crow, "Horses," he turned into a black horse. "And other assorted creatures," he changed back to his normal form, "However, I still have the black tone in my transformations."
"So does Beast Boy, but he's green all the time," Raven reminded.
"Yes, your morphing abilities are very impressive," Starfire complimented. Shadow blushed.
"Thanks girls," Shadow rubbed the back of his head, feeling bashful. He then morphed into a kitten and leapt into Raven's arms. "I think I'll stay here, luv." He snuggled up against her. Raven smiled and rolled her eyes before sitting down on the couch in a lotus position. She sat Shadow down in her lap and began running her hands over his silky soft black fur. Starfire watched this and giggled. Shadow looked so adorable as he napped in Raven's lap. Silkie crawled into the room and slithered up Starfire's leg. Starfire rubbed the little grub and it made happy gurgling noises at the attention.
Shadow cracked a small cat eye open and smiled as Starfire loved her little bumgorf, Silkie.
