"Guy, tell me you love me." Connie whisperd into his ear, as the two sat, wrapped in each other's arms that night, after their last regular season game on the JV team.
Guy looked into Connie's deep brown eyes. He did love her, he had always loved her. But latley he had been questioning things, that he had always taken for granted. What was he supposed to say 'I love you Connie, but I think that I might be in love with one of our male team-mates.' She would have laughed in his face for sure, at least that's what Guy thought, anyway.
He decided that the best thing for everybody would just be to go own with things, hoping, praying that nobody would notice that anything was wrong.
"Hey Guy!" Julie Gaffney exclaimed early that morning on the way to class.
"Hey Julie." Guy replied, his voice a lot less enthusiastic than normal. It wasn't that he was in a bad mood, he was just pensive, thinking about all of the ideas running through his mind about Connie and....
"Are you okay" Julie asked, interupting his thoughts.
"Fine." He replied, with a heavy sigh.
"Okay..." Julie shrugged, wandering off into the crowd.
The day continued, with much of the same. At lunch, Guy decided to do reasearch in the library, partially because he had an English paper due in three days, but there was the drawing fact that he would be able to avoid the rest of the team, especially Connie.
After thirty minuets of research on Edgar Allan Poe, Guy heard a familar voice over his head.
"How come your not at lunch?" The voice asked.
Looking up, and seeing him standing there sent a shiver up his spine. "I had to do resarch..." He admitted.
"The paper isn't due for three more days, what's the rush?"
"Well I-"
"Was avoiding Connie?"
Guy shrugged.
"Come on, you can talk to me."
Of course he could, the two frieds had known each other since...well, forever, it seemed like. It was Charlie for heaven's sake...but things were differnt now, and Guy doubted that things would ever be the same again.
AN: I know it is short, but I got bored, and this was all that I could think of, should I go on?
