PENGUIN VS RIDDLER – Story Number 2
Edward N. may have gone over the deep end, but he still loves the city. He doesn't like the criminal element that has been prevalent there for far too long.
Penguin has been making plans to be the Major Kingpin of Crime in Gotham.
Oswald confronts Ed.
Oswald: "Have you ever killed anyone?"
Ed, hesitated, then said in a soft voice, his head slightly faced down to the ground: "Yes,…nobody knows about it. I hope you don't expose me."
Oswald: "I might start a rumor that leads to some type of investigation"
Ed: "Oh, please don't do that", looking scared at the thought of Pengy doing what he said.
Oswald: "Oh please, man up for heaven's sake. I said I might, so watch yourself"
Ed then changes his demeanor from scared to joyful, doing a slight giggle, then laugh, his facial expression totally changes.
Oswald: "what do you find that is so amusing? I have the power to see to it that whatever bad thing you did would be 100 times greater than it really was."
Edward continuing to laugh, then smirked, still trying to hold off his laughter: "the thing that I did, there is no proof. But I know that you murdered about 8 people that I know of."
O: "What are you saying?"
Ed: "as someone who works in the forensics lab, I have examined some of the bodies of your victims. I also kept some of the skin tissue, DNA, and some other incriminating evidence of these deceased men."
O: "Are you blackmailing me?"
E: "Maybe"
