Within my ancient soul my best friend lies,
Not buried in the earth, by fire unburnt,
Not a minute forgotten, never blamed,
Not guilty of any crime-forever blessed.
Epitaph
Into glittering stars he turned, rushing like dragonflies,
I saw them all around myself as they bade me goodbye;
His body died a second death, a Holy war began,
And then-again-I saw him go after a shining star.
While memories condensed themselves beside my waterfall,
I'd thought about him and the days when we fought hand by hand.
And there's a thing which always makes me proud as I look back:
The wisest among mortals leant upon my shoulder once.
Even if we're born to die the spirits will live on,
And one like yours can have no end, you'll watch over the world;
You! Shining amethyst incrusted in Athena's helm,
Shion of Aries, Pope and warrior…you were all of them,
Faithful and loyal in your heart, the highest among men.
And I feel proud I walked with you a small part of your way…
Goodbye for now, the Princess' waiting, and the youth needs help.
