Liquid roared from withing REX as he raised it's foot above his twin, Solid Snake. "DIE!" He screamed as he sent the foot crashing down on Snake only for it to stop and the last second. "WHAT?! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? WHY AREN'T YOU DEAD ALREADY?!" He screamed. Snake looked under the foot to see his old friend, Grey Fox, Holding it up. "Snake! Get away!" Fox screamed. "Grey Fox!" Exclaimed snake. "A name from long ago... it sounds better than deep throat, doesn't it?" "You're deepthroat?! But why did you..."

"Hang on. This is a little heavy. UNFF!" Said fox, throwing the entire Metal gear off of him, causing the mech to fall down for a few minutes. He turned his head towards snake and opened up his face plate, a small smile visible on his face. "The whole deepthroat thing is... complicated. Mostly, I was aiding you to simpily ensure that we would meet again in battle. " He said walking towards Snake. "I was crazed... confused. Blindly obsessed with an irrational need for vengeance. But now, the fog has lifted. I know who I am once again."

"Well, It's damn good to have you back, Fox." Snake said. "You know, snake, you really haven't aged well." Fox said. Suddenly, REX got back up and fired a missile at the to comrades with the two narrowly avoid it. "FOOLS! I'LL OBLITERATE YOU BOTH! Liquid cried from within REX before opening fire with the Vulcan cannons to which Fox deflected each and every bullet as the two took cover. "This isn't good. It's only a matter of time before he nails us both." Snake said. "Snake, I want you to do one last thing for me." Fox started. "I want you to tell Naomi the truth. I... was the one who killed her parents in Zimbabwe all those years ago." He painfully revealed

"I was young then and couldn't bring myself to kill her too. I tried my best to make up for it by raising her... only I couldn't handle the crushing guilt of what had done. That's why I left for the Zanzibar land campaign and never came back. I though I could run away from it all, but you can't hide from ghosts. And that's all I am now. Just a ghost... haunting myself for past sins." Fox said before bringing out his High Frequency Blade. "Do me a favour, snake. Tell Naomi I love her." "Fox, wait!" Snake told his friend. "Tell her... I'm sorry." Said Fox before he dashed towards the hulking Metal gear "FOX!" The metal gear then fired its laser and served his left arm "AGGHHKK!" "FRANK! NO!" Yelled snake as REX stomped it's leg on Franks lower body, trapping him in the process. "LET'S SEE HOW STRONG THAT EXOSKELETON OF YOUR S REALLY IS..."

"AAGGGH!" Fox cried in pain as he picked up his sword with his remaining arm. "NEVER CORNER A FOX!" He yelled at liquid before Throwing the blade at the radome, destroying it in the process. "BLOODY HELL! HE DESTROYED THE RADOME! NOW, I HAVE TO OPERATE REX'S WEAPON SYSTEMS MANUALLY!" Liquid yelled in fury as the cockpit opened up. "IMPRESSIVE. YOU ARE INDEED WORTHY OF THE CODE-NAME "FOX"! BUT NOW YOU'RE FINSHED!" Liquid taunted. "Argh! SNAKE! FIRE THE STINGER!" Fox yelled from under REX's foot. "Can you do it? You'll kill him, too!" Liquid remarked. "Fox..." Said a conflicted snake. "SNAKE! DO IT! NOW!" Frank yelled. Snake picked up his stinger and fired it at REX as Frank closed his eyes. An explosion happened that sent his body flying in the air and slamming into the wall. Fox slowly felt his life fading, thinking he was finally about to die.

But what he didn't know was that fate had something else in store for him.
