to see him and suddenly the earth moved under them. Kairi began to fall but
Sora quickly pulled her back up. "Kairi what you said before? I'm always
with you too, I'll come back for you, I promise" and as there hands broke
there grasp they looked at each other from a distance...
In the dark streets of Traverse Town, one man is walking in the heavy rain. He looks up as multiple little black creatures appeared around him. He, Riku, knew who these were. He had some Heartless tho deal with.
Kairi sat, staring at the paopu fruit in her hands. She was sitting on the paopu tree and thinking about the legend of the mysterious fruit. Kairi snapped out of her trance. She almost let Riku and Sora slip out of her mind. Kairi remembered the last time she saw Sora and the last thing he said to her before he fell away from her grasp, "I'll come back to you, I promise!" Kairi was also thinking about the last time she saw Riku's face. He was merle a shadow of his old self, as if he were a hallucination....
She couldn't handle it. But she still didn't want to forget them. Kairi threw the paopu into the ocean in frustration. "Hey, Kairi!" a voice startled her from behind. She turned her head and saw Selphie's bright green eyes. "Are you okay, Kairi?" Kairi noticed that a tear was rolling down her cheek. "Yeah, I'm fine...." "You still miss them, don't you...." Kairi remembered that she had to tell Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie about everything that happened to them. "Yeah, I still miss them," Kairi and Selphie stared out at the ocean for a long time. Selphie noticed that Kairi still looked depressed and was trying to cheer her up, "Hey, you want to play beach volleyball with us?" Kairi considered the offer, "No thanks. I'm fine. You and Wakka and Tidus can go on without me. I'll just stay here..."
Sora was sitting on the ground of the path while Donald and Goofy were laying on their backs. They all were exhausted from chasing Pluto throughout the weeks that passed. Sora was still pondering where Riku was. The thought of Riku and Kairi made him bury his head in the palms of his hands. The last time he laid eyes on Riku was when the door was closing on his face, with him quietly stating to him to take care of Kairi. Kairi was safe and sound on the Island, who knows where Riku and King Mickey were.... But he had to find them before he returned to the island.... A tear slid down his cheek. He HAD to find them. And he would start by getting that letter.
Sora started to stand but as he did, Pluto jumped on top of him, caring the letter. In excitement, he tore the letter from Pluto's wet mouth and yelled, "Donald! Goofy! the letter!" Donald and Goofy ran towards Sora as he was ripping it open. "Gwarsh, what does it say, Sora?" Goofy asked. "Come on, Sora! Open it!" Donald was tapping his foot in impatience. When Sora read the letter, he expected it to be longer. Sora didn't read it out loud at first but was shocked at what it said....
