"Mr. Bubbles is… dead." Hanna said, she embraced the corpse of the giant big daddy. Jack Ryan approached the weeping young girl. "My knight in shining armor is dead…" She started crying. She turned to Jack with anger in her words and face. "AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! I HATE YOU!"
Jack looked at her with disgust, his hand that was filled with ADAM. "Come with me." Jack said.
"You don't have to live in this nightmare any longer."
"Get away from me!" She squeaked. She started running away.
Jack lunged at her, and picked her up. "Stop!" She said.
"I'm not going to harvest you." Jack said calmly. "I'm not going to hurt you."
She stopped squirming in Jack's arm. "Okay…"
Jack turned the girl over, and opened her dress slightly, and spotted the slug that kept her ADAM. Jack grabbed the slug and tore it off, and the Little Hanna gasped. "You'll be okay, kid. Just meet me at the Proving Grounds."
She nodded.
"Now you don't have the ADAM." He said. Hanna crawled into the vents, met up with Jack at the Proving Grounds and left Rapture, never looking back.
"So that's why Jack was truly a wonderful man, at first I hesitated, and I wondered if I could stay in Rapture, but once I saw you all leaving with him, I ran as fast as I could, because I loved my Mr. B, but I wanted to see what it was like on the surface, I always so close but so far away from the surface." Hanna said, sitting on her chair in a room filled with mourning women."
"Those big daddies were truly some amazing things." Hannah said.
"They were our only friends." Mary said.
The women heard a knock at the door, and Kate got up and opened it. And at the other end of the door, it was an old woman in a black dress, tears streaming down her cheeks, but strangely enough a big smile on her face. Kate opened the door and the others looked at the old woman. "And who might this be, Kate?" Mary said.
"My name is Eleanor Lamb."
"The one we heard about that came from… Rapture?"
"The very one, girl." Eleanor replied, smiling.
"Why'd you come here?" Kate asked.
"I came here to mourn with you all."
"What ties do you have with Father?" Elizabeth said.
"He became a legend in Rapture, and I just want to let you all know that ever since I got back to the surface, the Plasmids were taken from me, all except for the ones I still have. But anyway, I got a lot of money from these plasmids."
"BUT WHAT ABOUT THESE PEOPLE? THEY'LL BECOME SPLICERS!" Linda sprung up from her seat. "WHAT DID YOU DO?"
"It's okay, I gave it to the government, and they'll find a way to make the plasmids not addictive."
Linda sat down.
"Anyway, with these plasmids I've gotten into quite the bit of money, and I wanted to give Jack the best funeral."
"You'll do that?" Kate said.
"Of course, that man is like my uncle."
He better only be an uncle, Eleanor. Subject Delta said in Eleanor's mind. She chuckled.
Everyone in the room smiled. Eleanor had never seen so many smiles in a single room before, especially during times like these. Eleanor remembered walking around with Subject Delta, her own big daddy. (She called him Father.) The afternoon light shined into the room through the room. The orange tint gave a feeling of happiness in this dark time.
Eleanor got up and began walking out of the room, as she left the house, she put her phone number on a card and set it on the table. She turned to face the 5 women. "Please call my number, and we'll plan for the funeral."
She turned around and left the room.
Look, Eleanor. Are you sure you want to spend the money for this?
"I'm positive, Father."
