Tears stained my fur as I ran through the forest. My feet thudded against the wet ground, rain splashing my pelt. Thunder clapped above me and lightening danced across he sky as I sprinted away. My fur hung loosely on my skinny frame as I shivered from the cold. I kept my head down and tried to run faster. Soon, the sound of pawsteps invaded my ears. My eyes widened and fear crept it's way into my heart. Cold dread was stuck in my throat like a tough piece of fresh-kill. They are coming. I thought. They're here for me. Cold winds whipped at my face and it started to rain harder. It was as if the weather was echoing my emotions. Rain for the tears that streamed down my face, caused by the heartbreak of my brother dying. Thunder for the thumping in my heart as the badgers chased me. Lightening for the fear that struck by heart like a lightening bolt. Al in all, a storm that raged inside me. One I could not contain. And now here I was, running for my life. Running from my life. Running to a place where no one would find me.
