Disclaimer: I do not own Peter Pettigrew and I don't think I own his mother, but I do own the old man and Mrs. Landry.

A/N: lol, Mrs. Landry is actually the name of my fourth and fifth grade teacher. hahaha, it's the only thing that came to my head! Hope you enjoy!

~Crossing The Street~

"Peter! Get down here this instant!" yelled Mrs. Pettigrew. She tapped her foot impatiently on the hard wood floor on the bottom of that stairs in the Pettigrew's living room. She could hear her six-year-old running around in his room and then she heard a door open. Peter ran down the stairs and stopped abruptly when he saw the angry look on his mother's face.

"Mummy! It wasn't my fault! I swear! It was an accident!"

"Oh, so you mean that Mrs. Landry just 'happened' to pick up a muffin that was destined to explode in her mouth today?" Peter nodded. His hair flew everywhere as he did so.

            "Yes."

"Peter, you know I don't like it when you lie. What did you do to the muffin and why did you do it?" Peter was silent for a few minutes. Then he finally let out a long sigh.

"I did put something in her muffin. But I swear! I was manipulated! Sirius dared me to!"

"Oh, so you mean, your friend Sirius told you to put something in a muffin that you knew my friend was going to eat today? That he dared you to?"

"Yes, I told my friends that Mrs. Landry was coming over today for tea, and he dared me to put a--" He was interrupted.

"Okay! That's enough Peter! You are grounded for a week, and I do not want you to pull any more pranks on my friends! Do you hear me?" Peter nodded meekly.

"Yes, mum." He then turned and ran up to his room, tears running down his little face. When he got in his room, he slammed the door shut and decided that there was only one thing to do. He was going to run away.

"Mum will be happy. Then she won't have an annoying child who pulls pranks on her good friends," he said aloud to himself. He pulled out a little sack from under his bed and started filling it with random stuff, a fake wand; a toothbrush; a book about chickens...

"There!" He opened his window and jumped out. Not a very smart thing, but this is a little, very determined six year older, who just happens to be Peter Pettigrew, by the way. He landed with a thump in a large bush.

"Owwie," he exclaimed. He scrambled out of the bush and started running down his street.

Little Peter ran passed an elderly wizard on his daily walk. The man stopped as he ran by him, then started walking again. About five minutes later, the little boy ran by him again, and the old man called out, "Practicing for a marathon, young man?" The boy turned slightly and shook his head, no. The man shook his head with a confused grin, and then kept walking.

Again, about five minutes later, the little boy ran by him again and this time the man stopped him.

"What's the idea, sonny?" asked the man.

Peter looked up and shouted, "I am running away from home!"

"Oh, said the man. "But you've gone around this same block about five times already."

"I know!" yelled Peter as he started running again. "My mum won't let me cross the street!"

FIN!

A/N: Yet again, another smart comment to end the story with! One that should make you laugh out loud. Did it? hehe, I did!
