"So what's it gonna be now? Maybe the world cannot help from turning around, but if you cannot realize yourself then I cannot do that for you."

Her words were certain and strong, like little pieces of broken, blue glass, slowly penetrating his gaze. Van soon noticed that she was there, just in front of him, but he didn't know her. He didn't know her at all. And Billie was all that was placed before his eyes.

The ache. The confusion. The turmoil. The breeze of secret feelings and wishes, never meant to be fulfilled.

The atmosphere was hurting him blind. And all those dark demons were whispering in his ear once again. All that solitude and that black life, closing in on him.

And the sound of the rain falling, protesting against the roof.

And her eyes, immutable, staring at him, pleading for an answer without pleading. She never pleads, he knew for sure, but what if that night...

Thunder, just to make the blood in his veins rush. His hand went through his hair, making it clear that he was bending himself from within. The cop, not yet the man.

"I realize myself. I do" his answer.

She rolled her eyes, not yet the aura was shattered. Not yet the feelings were spread all over the sky. No more than two bodies in the same room, sharing the secret of a struggling bonfire. Wild desires.

"Goodnite" he said.

And she just stood by the door, following the rythm of his bones as he walked out the door.

Because the world always kept on turning, and that night, the cop, not yet the man, was gone.

So.

I just thought that the Fastlane fandom was gettinig down, and i think that althought the show is ended by now, we should keep on writing Fastlane fics.

And about me, well, i write... stuff. Quite abstract things that can be read as many times as you want, always finding a new meaning. This was short. But now, reading it again, i have to say that i love it. I promise to leave reviews on the old works, and, i was thinking about having our own Fasltane archives, so, what do you say?

Feedback is more than welcome.
