Chapter One
Smell the Roses: Ino Vs. Shino
Shikamaru looked across the field to see his teammate, Ino, laying in the grass near some flowers by the school. He rubbed his hands together before processing with the plan. It was not his plan, but the plan!
As calculated and diagrammed on a blueprint the night before, Shikamaru described the prank to Shino as it was intended to be told to Shino. Shikamaru knew his teammate really well, even telling Shino that Ino was looking for a potential suitor. Shino listened but was slightly bored with Shikamaru's description.

The Plan: - Wait for Ino to take her nap! Locate and Persuade Shino. Hide Shino's Pet Bee in a Flower. Ino Smells Flower. Stung on Nose by Bee. Shikamaru and Shino Laugh. Make New Plan.
Shino instantly agreed to this plan and pulled down a flashing light bulb over his head. As they start to tip toe to a flower, they could not see Ino shunt an inch. Shino hid another light bulb.
In search for Ino's dreams, we could not find them in her body. A side smile from Shikamaru revealed Ino's mind. It really was not Shikamaru's plan. Not with that effort. The real plan was her plan, his teammate's, and Ino's; all convenient found in a mush of mischief.
After placing the bee, Shikamaru guided by Ino's powers went behind a bush and Shino scurried up a tree. Ino finally awakened as her mind return to her body. She played the part well, perhaps adding a bit of dreamy movements to her scroll to the flowers. A finger raising the flower, she bent down to smell it. Cinnamon?
Returning her hand under the flower, it returned to its natural position to drop a cinnamon heart.
"How wonderful?" Ino wondered aloud. Shino appeared behind her about a meter and she turned around. She put it in her mouth.
"I knew you were behind this." Shino held in his cupped hand a pile of cinnamon hearts, because who doesn't? "No one could make Shikamaru carry around a piece of paper with instructions or set a plan to trick you. I admire your subtleness.
"You, admire me?" Ino asked holding her hands against her chest. "Do you?"
"Yea!" Shino informally said as he brought up a cinnamon heart. "But have you overlooked by subtleness?"
"Where did you get these? Owww!!!" Ino shrieked as she put pressure on her swollen cheek. "Yogr peg fork dis! Whe're rivets!"
"I benefit from strong rivals." Shino cut his thumb and painted a one on a floating chalk-board under his name. "One, love."
"Stupid, subtleness." She spit out the bee.
