Jack sighed, walking in from work. He could hear that familiar sobbing coming from the bedroom. It happened every year, on this date. He couldn't complain, he loved Alex, and he could turn into a diva, but today of all days, Jack had to be extra gentle with him, and just cuddle him all day.

He would usually take the day off, but his boss had demanded he come into work. He took of his tie and jacket, and put his briefcase down on the floor, with them draped over. He walked upstairs, and into the bedroom.

It was nice enough, with the wage Jack got from his job - sitting in a chair, answering phones and sending emails - alongside Alex's wage - he just designed webpages for businesses, and had done one for the place Jack worked for.

The room had this huge king sized bed in the corner, because Alex liked sleeping in the corner near the wall so he wouldn't fall out, and Jack's reasoning to buy it was something along the same line, but as soon as they had seen it, the shop assistant had said most couples buy it because it's springy - which means better sex. Both Alex and Jack had bought it primarily for that reason, but they had others.

Jack liked curling up in the middle, with Alex next to him, and his baby Daisy curled up next to him. Daisy was their Border Collie puppy, and Alex regularly took the piss out of Jack for treating her like a real child.

He sighed, and saw Daisy on the bed, curled up next to Alex, his boyfriends fingers dancing through her fur. Jack crawled onto the bed behind Alex, curling his arms around his waist, and and cuddling him from behind.

"Y'okay?"He asked. Alex sniffled, and shook his head.

"I miss him..."He whispered, pulling his legs up to his chest, crying softly into them. Jack sighed, and played with his hair.

"I know, I know baby. I'm sure he misses you too."He whispered.

See, a few years ago - he was sure Alex had been around ten or something, Alex's brother had died. The circumstances weren't very nice, at all, but it really wasn't something either Alex or Jack liked speaking about. But today was the exact day Daniel had died, just fourteen years later, and it really wasn't something a cuddle could just heal.

Jack sighed a little, and laid down, bringing Alex with him.

"Your brother, Alex, he'd be so proud of you. You've amounted to so much. You have a nice job, a nice home, a loving and doting boyfriend who would do anything for you. I'm sure if he could talk to you, the first thing he'd say is that he's proud of you."He whispered, closing his eyes.

He felt Alex bury his face into his neck, and cry gently into it. Jack just played with his hair, and bit his lip.

"Just, calm down. I know you're upset, but working yourself up to this state isn't good for your health."He whispered.

Alex nodded, gripping onto the front of Jack's shirt.

"I love you Jack. I have no idea what I did to deserve you."He whispered.

Jack chuckled softly. "I'm pretty sure it had something to do with you sitting on my lap when me, you, Zack and Rian were all drunk and sticking your hand down my pants."He smiled, lifting Alex's face to kiss his nose. "I love you too, y'perve."He smiled.

Alex cracked a smile, and curled into Jack. "Gonna nap."He whispered, closing his eyes.

Daisy curled up next to Alex, her paws resting gently on his back. Jack smiled, and kissed Alex's hair softly.

"Sounds perfect."He murmured, closing his eyes.

He could hear the gentle snores from Alex, which eventually lulled him to sleep. This was what he liked.

Alex would have a good old cry, and then they'd talk about how Daniel would be proud of what he's got, they'd talk about how Alex even got Jack in the first place, then they'd take a nap. They'd wake up later, and watch Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, whilst eating the take out they would decide on when they woke up, Daisy would get the left over meat, and then they'd fall asleep on the couch.

And that to Jack, was utter perfection.
