Youth - A Final Fantasy X Fanfiction Series by Azure (Azzu)
Chapter One: It's not my thing - Chappu doesn't like Blitzball..
This little series marks my first ever go at writing on 10 years in the future after the destruction of Sin, this series focuses on Chappu II - Wakka and Lulu's son. Please review! The chapters will be pretty short but I'll try and update very frequently!

' Did you see that, Chappu! '
' Yes.. '
Two figures were both on the Besaid Beach, although they were doing very different things. The tallest of the two was the father; a tall man, who had lived on the island his whole life. He was Wakka, coach and captain of the Besaid Aurochs - a Blitzball team. He was one of the previous guardians to High Summoner Yuna, the young girl who had defeated Sin ten years ago. Now that it was all over, Wakka had the time to get back to the game. But of course now there were many other things he was responsible for. One of those was his son, Chappu.
The other figure was indeed Chappu, or to be prescise, Chappu II, as the first Chappu was of course his deceased uncle and his father's brother. He looked an awful lot like his father - orangish spiked hair, tall for his age yet well-built. He was the perfect type to be playing Blitzball like him. But Chappu.. he hated the sport. None of the team could understand it.
Throughout the years, Wakka had remained in the Besaid Aurochs. They were, of course a very famous team, having won an awful lot of matches and very well known simply because of the fact that Wakka had been High Summoner Yuna's guardian. Many of the others, the old team-mates had left, but there were now new players, such as Neva and Lepson. Last year they had won the Championship again, beating the poor Luca Goers, Al Bhed Psyches, Kilika Beasts and the new team, the Bikanel Giants.
But despite every effort Wakka made, he couldn't get his son to play Blitzball. He didn't know why he didn't like it, he just didn't. Where personality was concerned, Chappu was more like his mother, Lulu.
' Come on, just one game, ya? '
' No thanks. ' Chappu sighed and got to his feet, tired of watching his father perform expert moves.
' Chappu.. '
' I'm going home. '
' Just a few more shots, and then I'll take you home then, all right? ' Chappu nodded - the road back to the village was usually infested with fiends, but not as many as there used to be back in Wakka's day, as he was always telling him. His father then turned back to the ball, suddenly forgetting about his son. That was why a lot of people decided to play Blitzball; it made them concentrate on nothing else apart from the game. It made you forget all your pain and all your troubles, and of course everything else too. Chappu sighed and sank back down into a grassy patch at the side, arms resting behind his head. He wasn't like Wakka - he didn't find Blitzball interesting in the slightest. He was quiet, solitary and serious, quite different from his father. He liked to explore, to find out new things and to learn about history. He was often scorned because of these hobbies by the other children in the village, but Chappu didn't mind.
Of course, Wakka wasn't the fittest of blitzball players anymore. But after he helped High Summoner Yuna and her other guardians defeat Sin, there was no work for him to do anymore. So Wakka just played Blitzball as a side hobby now. The old group of players he used to belong to - the Besaid Aurochs - had asked for him back, but he stuck to his decision on retiring. The Aurochs were great players by now and had a great reputation. Wakka always asked Chappu to come and watch them train, 'see if you can get some pointers, ya?'. Why can't he just understand that it's just not my thing?
Yawning, he settled back down to watch his father have a 'few more shots'.
