It was almost four in the morning. G sighed and closed his eyes; it had been nearly 48 hours since he'd last slept. The team's current case had started as a simple bust on a couple of marines doing stupid drug trades. Then things escalated and turned nasty, threats were made and soon it turned into a murder case. Now they were waiting for the suspect to arrive at the docks so they could catch him in the act of buying yet more drugs. G opened his eyes and stared out the window. There was still no sign of the suspect. Another minutes ticked by with no action. He was getting sick of sitting in the car, it was uncomfortable and to make it worse he was alone. Sam had said he would go back to the suspect's house just in case and so he'd be left alone. Kensi and Deeks were at the other end of the docks. Suddenly he saw headlights and straightened in his seat. And sure enough the suspect pulled up and got out of his car. He only had to wait a few moments before another man showed up and they made the trade. In lightening speed G was out of his car, gun pulled out and running for the suspect, now the criminal. It only took a few minutes and then the case was over.

It was five thirty before they got back to the office. Everybody was tired and ready to have a good, long sleep. When G walked to his desk he noticed a pile of paper work sitting there. He shook his head and sat on the couch. He wasn't going to do that work now, he couldn't be bothered and he was too tired. He lay down on the couch and shut his eyes.

"G," Sam said. G opened his eyes and looked up. "You gonna do that paper work?"

"Later," G replied.

"Ok...But don't come crying to me when Hetty roars at you," Sam said and walked to his own desk.

"Whatever," G mumbled and closed his eyes again. He was on the verge of sleep when he felt Sam's hand on his shoulder. He opened his eyes again.

"Move over," Sam said. G sat up and rubbed his eyes. Sam sat down and pulled G closer. Then G lay his head in Sam's lap and fell asleep. Sam leant his head back and closed his eyes, placing a protective hand on G's arm, and then he fell asleep as well.

Kensi walked to her desk and picked up her bag. When she turned around she saw Sam sitting on the couch, asleep, and G lying with his head in Sam's lap, he too was asleep. A smile crept onto her face. She knew that something was definitely going on between them.
