A/N: I have never actually seen Fathers day, so this might be a little on the crap side, ok? Also this is Tenth Doctor, not Ninth. And for the last time I do not own Doctor who.

"And just fix that, aaand, tada!" Rose wasn't paying any attention to the strange mutterings coming from under the machine. The Doctor was fiddling with something, and Rose was reading.

"So now we've got rid of Mickey the Idiot-" he stopped as Rose shot him a glare, "where do you want to go?"

No answer. The Doctor felt an stab of annoyance. He hated it when she gave him the silent treatment. He laughed and told Rose he was going to play a wild card and just see where they landed.

The TARDIS gave its usual thud, which meant they had arrived. Rose fell off her seat.

"Can't you put a brake on this thing?"

"I've tried," he told her. "I've still got the marks"

Rose laughed." Why, what happened?" "Ummm, only that I got flung headfirst onto the control panel and ended up with several bruises."

Rose laughed again. "Come on." She rushed outside, and stopped dead. He crashed into her. "Ouch!"

The Doctor could sense that something wasn't right with Rose. Was it the way she had stopped so suddenly? Or that look in her eyes?

They walked around until they found a newspaper seller, and looked at the date on the paper. February 19th, 1987.

Rose went pale and the Doctor groaned. They had accidentically gone to the day Rose's dad died. In the two minutes he'd paused to consider this thought, Rose had vanished. And since she was wearing trainers that day, she could move faster.

He raced about everywhere looking for her, but being The Doctor, he had a thought of where she might be headed. And as per usual, he was right.

By the time he had caught up with Rose, she had arrived at the street where it happened. If she was planning to save him again….

There was her dad, walking along the street. The Doctor put a hand on Rose's shoulder to keep her from running.

Peter Tyler crossed the road.

A big black car from nowhere.

Slammed right into him. Flew 20 feet.

Rose was standing on the pavement with the Doctors arms now around her waist. She turned round, and slapped him in the face.

"What was that for ?" he yelled.

" For not lettin' me save my dad! I could have let him live, and you just stood there and held me back! Do ya know what it's like to have to see your dad die! If it weren't for you, we wouldn't be here in the first place!"

" Rose, you forgot all my family are dead. The Time Lords," he said quietly, face still stinging.

Rose chose not to answer this but rushed off to the TARDIS in tears, with the Doctor following her.

That evening, Rose was calming down. She had an idea, and quietly got up and went out of her room to go and find the Doctor
He was sitting reading a book, when suddenly there was a noise behind him, and Rose came flying into his arms for a hug.
