Hey guys, a new (really, really short) Ninjago one-shot here. The reason why it's so short is just to kind of leave you wondering (even thought it's pretty obvious what happened). Just enjoy, it kind of explains itself. And please review.

Shadows. Dark, gloomy shadows. Black patches where no light shines. A resting place for evil.

Shadows are everywhere, taking everyone. It could be so much brighter right now. It could be so much happier. There could still be hope left.

But hope disappeared with the light, and the clouds moved in. No rain and no thunder, no lightning and no fire. Just black. Deep, dark black, and nothing more.

Nothing was left. Emptiness is the world's new king.

Destruction, ruin, death . . . their terror filled the black sky, poisoning the air. One step outside and it would taint someone's soul with a dark insanity. One breath . . . and they would lose control.

No light, no sound. The voices of resistance were silenced forever. They tried so hard, doing everything they could. The fate of the world rested on their shoulders . . . and it was too heavy.

One by one they fell, losing their chance. They were cut from the world so fast, as if they were never there. There was no blood, no screams, only darkness. Everything is over now. They lost everything in their final breath. No last words left their lips.

It was too late. It was always too late. They had no chance. They believed in themselves, but believing wasn't enough.

"A ninja never quits!" Poor souls . . . sometimes quitting is a good thing. They should've quit while they were ahead . . . but now . . . they're gone.

Forever.

It seems that only the good die young.

Goodbye, little heroes. We will never meet again.
