Green Orbs

No emotion was ever shown in those green orbs.

No hope was shown. No hopelessness was shown. No pain was shown. And above all no love was shown.

Makes me wonder how can someone be like that. But then I thought. . .

Then I thought, I thought long and hard about it and I finally figure it out.

And the answer was in front of me all this time. And I didn't notice.

How can I not notice?

Those green orbs did show emotion and not just an emotion; emotions. The green orbs showed emotions that were deeply hidden but they were there.

Oh, they've been there for some time and I didn't notice. But she noticed.

How can I not notice?

"You humans are always talking about hearts. It's as though you have them in your hand. So what is a heart? If I rip open your chest, will I see it? If I crack open your skull will I see there?"

How can I not notice? But she can?

"What is that? What will I see if I cracked open your chest? If I broke open your skull, what would I see inside? You humans say the word so easily. Just lik-. Oh I get it. This here in my hand. The Heart."

How can I not notice; what he wanted the most? But she can?! Damn it!

How can I not notice what that woman can?

It's almost as though you really are more human after being around her, Ulquiorra.

I can almost see your green eyes; reflecting all the emotions that you can show now.

Thogh I still wonder, why wasn't I able to give you, what you wanted the most? But that woman could.

But it doesn't matter anymore.

You're out of my reach now. But I'm grateful that you are; because now you're out of that woman's reach too.

But I still can't figure out what those green orbs show the most now. Love or Loniliness. And I'll probably never will.

Well I hope you enjoyed my short that was born out of boredom. I didn't mean it to sound Orihime and Ulquiorra (mostly because I always hate Orihime since Volume 1); but it sounded more right like that. And if you haven't noticed it's Grimmjow talking (thinking) except for the quotation marks.
