Molly Weasley glanced into the living room, holding a pair of
scissors behind her. She could not stand it any longer. None of the men
or boys in the next room had proper haircuts. She would soon cure that.
Her first victim was Sirius Black, the closest to the door. All she had to
do was put a body bind curse on him and then give him a proper haircut.
She took out the shears and slowly crossed the room, approaching the back
of the chair that Sirius was sitting in. She got closer and closer with
her wand out. A psychotic smile appeared on her face as she stopped only
inches away from the unsuspecting young man. Before she could mutter a
spell, her cover was blown.
"Duck Sirius! Escape her wrath!"
Sirius jumped out of his chair and spun around to see a frustrated Mrs. Weasley. Molly narrowed her eyes and glared at Harry who had alerted Sirius and then to Remus Lupin who was laughing. Once seeing the glare Mrs. Weasley was sending him, that clearly said that he was going to be a victim as well, he stopped and went back to the book he was reading. Mr. Weasley, Ron, Fred, George, Kingsley, Charlie, Hermione, Ginny and Tonks watched with amusement, as Molly and Sirius seemed to have a glaring contest. Suddenly a grin appeared on Mrs. Weasley's face.
"I hate that it has come to this, but if anyone, with the exception of the girls and Kingsley wants me to make them breakfast, lunch or dinner anymore then they will come and let me cut their hair."
The room was filled with "Molly... Mrs. Weasley?" and a lot of moaning and crying from the Weasley boys whose ambition was to have longer hair then Bill who fortunately for him was not here. They knew very well that if they were to cook for themselves they would most likely kill themselves. They went into the next room and thought about it, deciding if longer hair was better then food.
"Do any of you know how to cook?" Sirius asked the group.
"I can!" Harry said proudly.
"No you can't!" argued Ron. "Last time at the burrow when mum went out and told us to make our own dinner, we decided to each make something for all of us." He told the group. "Harry made the potatoes and Harry's were crunchy!"
"That rules out Harry," said George. Fred nodded.
"Lily once tried to teach James, Sirius, Peter and I how to cook once." Lupin had an extremely amused look on his face. "Like father like son, James made a soggy, part liquid cake. Sirius and Peter were assigned meatloaf if I can remember correctly." Sirius's face turned green at the thought of the meatloaf. "It turned out green. I made pasta..."
"I never knew why yours was the only one that turned out right."
"While Lily was yelling at you all I used the can stuff."
"I knew it," said Sirius.
"George and I can make sandwiches!" Fred said proudly.
"We can't live on sandwiches!"
"Shut up Ron."
"Dad and I can't cook, so that rules us out," Charlie said.
"We could always have Lupin make us canned food."
"Let it go Sirius. Did you know that James used the box cake mix and still didn't get it right."
"We could order pizza every day."
"What's pizza?"
"So none of us can cook?"
"I guess the only thing to do is give in."
"But..."
The group seemed very down. They didn't want a haircut, but that was the only way. Either a haircut or starve to death...
Two days later, the eight sat in a line with by the room that Mrs. Weasley was cutting hair in. If it were up to Molly Weasley, then they would have army haircuts, but she gave them a little slack. Sirius finally walked out of the room with his hair up to his ears. He was the last one.
"Now," Molly Weasley announced, "We will talk about cooking lessons!" I would tell you about that adventure, buts that's another story...
