Author's note: Hmmm… What can I say, my very first one shot fic… My friend gave this idea.
A DAY
Rei looked outside the window. He decided to bring his family to the beach in the evening for a walk.
"Rei, what are you thinking about?" Aya asked him. His husband turned and smiled.
"Nothing, I'm just thinking about bring you and Keiji (yeah, I love that name!) to the beach later in the evening," he replied.
"That's great. Keiji told me he wanted to go to the beach just yesterday," Aya said. Rei nodded and pulled his wife close.
It was 3 years since their marriage. Many things had changed. Rei was a lawyer and Aya was a doctor. The couple was always busy in their work. Rei, handling some cases in the court while Aya, was always duty at the hospital. So, every time they were together, Aya always treasures every second of it.
That afternoon, Rei drove his family to the beach. He parked his car and carried Keiji out of the car.
"Come on, Keiji. We're at the beach," Rei told his son.
"Daddy! Look!" Keiji pointed to a red car far away.
"Uncle Yamato and Auntie Miyu!" Aya turned and saw Yamato and Miyu with Naoki.
"Miyu, Yamato!" Aya shouted and waved to them. Naoki was the first to see them. He pulled his mother along with him.
"Rei! Aya! Fancy meeting you two here," Yamato said.
Rei put his son down and answered, "Yamato-san, Miyu, you're here too?"
"Yeah, Naoki wanted to build sandcastles, so we brought him here," Miyu said, looking at Naoki. Naoki and Keiji were running about, trying to catch each other.
Aya nodded. "This is a good chance to get relax," she commented.
Half an hour later, Keiji and Naoki were building sandcastles together. Soon, they dragged their parents to help them too. With the adults' help, the majestic sandcastle was completed in another half an hour. Naoki sat down on the straw mat and tugged his friend's clothes.
"Keiji-kun look, how beautiful our sandcastle is!" He said in his soft-spoken voice.
"You're right!" Keiji added, grinning broadly.
Suddenly, Keiji's stomach growled.
"Mummy…Hungry…" Keiji stretched out his arm, as if to reach out to his mother. Rei picked his son up and put him on his shoulder.
"Aya-chan, we better go and get out dinner," Rei Otohata told his wife. Aya stood up and looked at her best friend Miyu.
"We're going for dinner. Care to join us?"
In the end, they decided on a restaurant near the beach.
The car slowed down before pivoting neatly at the entrance.
"Aya-chan, bring Keiji down first. I'm going to park the car," Rei turned back to look at his wife and said. Aya brought their son into the restaurant and saw Yamato's family waiting for them. Miyu waved at her best friend. Keiji immediately took out something from his pocket and ran towards his bestfriend. He then pulled Naoki away from the table. Aya wanted to stop him but Miyu said, "Never mind. Let them play."
Aya nodded and smiled. She just sat down and waited for her husband to arrive.
Dinner was deliciously tasty. Aya was sitting at the passenger seat, beside her beloved husband. She was cradling a sound- asleep Keiji. The light turned red and Rei halted and glanced at his dear wife. Aya Otohata smiled at him, a smiled that he mirrored.
"I love you honey…" Rei murmured.
"Me too…. Me too…." Aya whispered. She kissed her husband on the cheek.
Just then, the light turned green and Rei focused his attention on the road again. He drove them home. He drove his family home. His beloved family.

Author's notes: A new record!! I made it for almost an hour! Anyway, I think I'm the first one who made a married Aya and Rei fic here in fanfiction.net…
