"Well we are!" I said perkily. "Lets go." I growled and yanked him towards backstage.

"Wait so you're leaving me here by myself?" Tawni asked.

"Yes."

"Yes!" She squealed, sitting on Gilroy's desk. Once we were alone backstage, I said,

"I can't believe Gilroy tried to do that to us."

"Yeah he's a jerk." Chad agreed. "I can't believe I read that book for nothing." He is so stupid sometimes.

"Look, Tawni and I made a pact that we wouldn't tell anyone secrets and I think we should do the same thing." He looked at with a squirming expression.

"Okay fine!" He blurted. "I didn't read the book." I glared at him. "Ohhhh!" He finally got it. "You mean secrets between us." I nodded. "Yeah but we don't secrets." He saw my face. "Do we?"

"Uh…"I stalled. "I dunno. Do we?" I stared at his face, then past it. Something behind it flashed red. What was that?

"Wait secrets like us…liking each other?" The concept was completely foreign to me.

"Yeah I mean I don't really wanna talk about my feelings in front of a live studio audience." He was squirming again.

"Yeah, yeah especially…" Just say it! "Feelings we've never talked about before." I chickened out.

"Wait do you have feelings?"

"Do you have feelings?"

"I mean…since you're uh, really asking… just the two of us and everything…"

"Right, right, and there's like…no cameras this time." I said shyly.

"No really, its just-" I cut him off.

"No, listen, its what I'm here for." I assured him. He looked at me sweetly.

"You go first." I told him

"You go first." Um, not happening.

"No you go fir- okay same time." Compromise is good. My insides were shaking.

"One…two…" I stalled. That red light behind him felt like it was burning at me.

"I was gonna say that yeah. Two and a half?" The light flicked off. Oh my god it was a camera!

"Three…" Chad said.

"No wait!" I exclaimed. The camera flicked back on! What kind of game was Gilroy playing? I could play games too buddy.

"That was…so much easier to say than I thought it would be." And with that, I walked away. A moment later Chad came up behind me.

"Sonny what was that all about?" Chad asked.

"There was a camera in there, somebody shut if off but then it turned back on." I explained. We both turned around and saw Tawni smirking 'Gotchya' and waving a pencil.

"Sonny…" Chad said. I turned around. "Three."

"Uh, I uh," This was so much easier to say when I didn't say it!

"Shush. The time for talking is over." He smiled and leaned in.

Chad Dylan Cooper kissed me.

"Come on, let's get out of here."

"Sure, Tawni looks like she can handle herself." I beamed.

Sorry the ending was soapy and stupid!
