Summary: After the gigantic battle. Vala and Daniel sit down and talk.

"Daniel, things aren't how they used to be. The war is done, over," she paused, "Please look at me. I'm not the enemy here." Her words swirled around. He sat there, staring at the ground. He was defying the urge to look at her. Afraid she'd disappear. That and he were angry with her.

"Why'd you leave like that?" He broke into her stifled sniffles. She took a long deep breath, and held eye contact with him.

"I figured what one life to more then millions on different planets? I was trying to do a good thing. Trying to be a better person, for you." Her words sank into him. He could tell she was telling the truth. This time.

He never really ever trusted her; it was just like the sex she slipped into his coffee, unpredictable. Sometimes it was there, sometimes it wasn't. Now, now she was changed, predictable now. Daniel slowly rose from his chair and walked over to her.

"Ok, I get that, but why do you love me?" Daniel was going to see if this was a ploy or not.

"I don't know really. All I do know is that when I'm near you there's this," she paused to think of the word, "explosion inside me. It's indescr-"

Daniels lips captured hers. She melted quickly into his arms. This time she'd assume the follower role. He was the man, the leader. Daniel held her close, only drawing back to catch a breath.

"Daniel, wait! You said you wanted things to go slow." She corrected his actions, and pulled away from him, but still close enough to be held in his arms.

"I lied." The archeologist pulled her close and picked her up off the ground. He carried her to the bedroom. Gently setting her on the bed. Their clothes melted away to but a mere puddle on the floor. Their bodies soon became tangled together, with each other and the sheets.

Sweat scintillating, rolled down their warm bodies. Pleasure moans hung in the humid air of summer. All worries of the past, present, and future were forgotten. Their minds raced wildly, trying to keep up with their pounding hearts.

The tango seemed to go by fast to them. Before they knew it he was lying on his back panting, with her head upon his chest.

"I told you Daniel, things are different now, and I'm different. I don't want to be alone anymore." She spoke to him in a soft whispery pant.

"Don't worry. I'll end your suffering, just don't leave like that again." Daniel replied back with the same tone.

"Never, unless you stop loving me, but even then I'll still follow. That' a promise I won't ever break, my Daniel."
