I hear the secrets that you keep…when you're talking in your sleep

It's incredible that bubble shield device is still functioning after such strenuous use. Energy keeps washing over the spherical surface, preventing anxious gamma and ultra violet rays admittance. All the while they are slowly flipping head over heels… towards more emptiness. No passing asteroids just a transparent plow that is clearing way for no one in particular.

Oh wait a gosh darn second! If I ain't mistaking…these kinds of people have been 'low-jacked'. Only a matter of time until U.O.'s friends come to pick them up. Can't be our final resting place, right?

Several command bridges had their innards pulled out and the battle cruisers were chewed up. Some repair crews were spread out among the facility trying to do too many things at once. A single hanger bay is now housing the entirety of personnel, not a lot anyway. All sliding hatches leading to other parts of the site were shut to prevent loss of pressurization. Everyone was either injured or helping the injured except a couple of recently returned fighter pilots. Then, an officer approached the group and all of them stood to attention. Officer said, "6-9. I want your report about what you saw on your way back here."

"I suppose it was one of our own, sir."

"No, I know the whereabouts of everyone that was stationed here before the attack."

6-9 felt confused and quipped, "Maybe they're 'the one that got away'" this didn't have any desired affects on the officer who retorted, "I want you and another to retrieve whoever it is with that SnD craft" pointing beyond them to a petit ship with its loading ramp out.

"As you wish, sir" responded 6-9.

Later at last remembered location of U.O.

Little pieces of rock bounced off the SnD craft while 6-9 monitored a scanner whose ping would highlight anything with a heat signature. It pings and a ripple paints an object bright orange directly below them eliciting a question from 6-9, "What is it, 2-1?" The chap 2-1 peered through the viewfinder and saw a cube. 2-1 sighed, "Something. But not the something you described". Silence followed suit as the SnD glided farther from their presumed search area.

Half an hour passed and 6-9 did not see anything around. Sleep is what both of them wanted to indulge in but they were out in the open searching for a meaningless individual. Yet if nothing was brought to that officer there would surely be devastating consequences. So, 6-9 resisted all other distractions and focused on the scanner while a spacesuit repelled off the craft's windshield which caused both occupants to look. 6-9 noticed the scanner highlighted something which was soaring directly above them. 2-1 smirked and added, "Good going, navigator"
