Elizabeth Weir looked up in surprise when Radek Zelenka burst into her office. His halo of frizzy hair seemed to be frizzier than normal and the man looked quite upset. His glasses had slid down to the tip of his nose and he was too distracted to push them back up.

"Dr. Zelenka, what—"

"Make him stop!" Zelenka shouted and Elizabeth blinked in alarm.

"Make who stop what?" she asked slowly.

"Rodney!" he cried, flailing his hands through the air. "He will not stop!"

Elizabeth slowly stood and came around her desk to where Zelenka was standing.

"He won't stop what?"

"Just… just come and see." He sighed and immediately turned out of her office, simply assuming that she would follow.

Elizabeth followed the Czech to Rodney's lab. Inside she found not only McKay, but also John Sheppard and Carson Beckett. Elizabeth paused in the doorway and frowned.

"What is going on?" she demanded.

Sheppard's lips twitched in a brief smile.

"Ask McKay." He said, his voice shaking with barely contained laughter. Elizabeth raised an eyebrow, but the man would give her no more than that. Sighing, Elizabeth approached the doctor in question.

Rodney seemed wholly distracted by whatever he was doing. He was rifling through papers and typing rapidly on his computer, mumbling the same thing over and over to himself. He glanced up at her only once and then quickly back to whatever he was doing.

"Rodney?" she asked slowly.

"Good, good." He mumbled.

Elizabeth frowned.

"What?"

"Good, good." He repeated. Elizabeth glanced back at Zelenka.

"What happened?" she asked. Zelenka sighed and shrugged.

"He was working on some Ancient technology. He does not like my help, but when I came back all he would say to me is—"

"Good, good." Rodney said from his desk, bobbing his head. Elizabeth looked from Zelenka to Rodney and then to Carson.

"Carson…?" she asked. The doctor shrugged.

"I have no idea."

"We keep trying to ask him what's wrong, but all he'll say is—"

"Good, good." Rodney said, typing at his laptop.

"I think he is trying to reverse whatever happened, but he cannot tell us how to help." Zelenka said. He made a wry face. "Not that he would let us."

Elizabeth sighed and turned back to Rodney.

"Rodney? What happened?"

"Good, good."

"Are you hurt?"

"Good, good."

"What can we do to help?"

"Good, good."

"Is there anything I can do?" she asked.

Rodney looked up at her suddenly and nodded. Elizabeth glanced back at the doctors and Sheppard, but they quickly motioned for her to continue with that line.

"Um…okay. What can I do to help?"

Mutely Rodney motioned her over to his side of the desk and pointed to the computer screen. She read what he had typed there and her eyes widened.

"You want me to do what?" she asked sharply. Rodney bobbed his head.

"Good, good." He assured her. "Good, good."

"Are you… sure?"

Rodney threw his hands up in the air and gave her a look that said, Did I not just say "good, good"?

Elizabeth looked at Rodney and then sighed.

"Fine. If you think it will—"

Before Elizabeth could even finish her sentence Rodney had wrapped his arms around her and dipped her, kissing her full on the mouth. The men standing in the doorway widened their eyes in surprise.

Elizabeth's arms went around Rodney's shoulders and the kiss seemed to last forever. Finally, though, Rodney gently pulled his lips away from hers. He looked at her face and a broad grin eased itself across his face.

"I knew that would work." He smiled. Elizabeth's eyes widened. She was still braced in is arms, the man easily holding her in the same position.

"Wait—you did that on purpose?" she demanded. Rodney nodded.

"It was the only way I could think of to get you to kiss me." He admitted with a smile. Elizabeth opened her mouth to snap at him, then paused.

"Oh… well…" she looked up at him. "Um… how was it?"

McKay grinned.

"Very good." He said, and kissed her again.
