I feel the buzz in my head warning me of the danger. Ignoring completely, I reach for him and talked him off his glider.
Falling, not much more time before the impact. I press my fingers back to be rewarded with a 'skink' signaling that my web is gone. Smack.
I feel the world spinning, a sharp pain in my ribs. Spiting up blood I look to see Goblin isn't fairing much better.
In an last desperate to get away Goblin's glider shoots toward one of the bystander in the crowd, leaping forward I intercept the glider. Pain, I never felt it so strongly, pined against that wall. After what seamed like hours I feel the pain diminish. Darkness, it clouded my vision, claming me. I see them, Mom, Dad, Gwen, Ben, Harry, my daughter May, welcoming me into the paradise.

News channels around the world aired the broadcasts. Showing the headlines ranging from 'Hero Sacrifice' to 'Menace Defeated', but they all said the same thing, Spider-Man unmasked and dead.
The news depicted the life of Peter Parker. Every ware people where shocked at his age and losses. The loss of all his loved ones, his parents, his Uncle that raised him, his girlfriend, his best friend, even his daughter.
The time and place of his funeral was given to the shocked and sullen audience.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thousands of chairs where set in front of the coffin, all filled. Filled with the people he saved, the people whose life he touched, the people who wanted to see the face of their hero.
Near the front sat the hero's friends, family, and his 'associates'. They ranged from the Avengers to the X-Men, all where there that could be, Dr. Strange, Blackcat, Silver Surfer, Daredevil, The Fantastic Four, even the stoic Nick Fury and Punisher. Although the most astonishing attendants where the ones in the back.
There stood some of the villains of Peters past, Venom, Dock Ock, Juggernaut, Shocker, Kraven the Hunter, and King Pin. All either regretting fighting him or sorry they didn't get to kill him themselves, or to honor a worthy opponent.

The entire world gave a moment of silence for the hero as he was lowered into his grave, even the loud mouthed Jonah Jamison sat quietly. One by one all the attendants of the funeral dropped a hand full of dirt into the grave, bearing the legend.
The grave stone was place, marking the place of his burial. Each member of the crowed read the inscription.
