Since I'm at a loss for something crazy to say, I'll just preface this story quickly and get out of the way. I wanted to do a fic where the characters had aged some and were reflecting on that change. This happened in response to that. It's Rai's POV, no pairing, unless you squint really hard and then I think you're going blind (or crazy, it depends). Enjoy.

Jack had changed through the years. He was always a bit of a wuss, and that would probably never change, but his eyes, they had changed.

When they first met on the battle field, those eyes were wider than the pretty slants they were now. His make up was once messy, but now it looked like a professional knew just how to accent every sparkle in those rubies.

He had also grown. He was taller now, still as skinny and pale as ever, but with longer rowdier red hair. Someone had turned Jack into the perfect gothic super-model. I knew he would want to use that to his advantage. After all, Jack was a genius. At least, he said he was.

I suppose we had all changed, looking at myself in the mirror, I'm not sure where the fourteen year old boy went. Kimiko has become a gorgeous woman, gentle curves and long black hair to frame a round face. No doubt her country wants that beauty back. Can't wait to see those protests.

Clay has managed to turn all of that body fat into muscle. He's the tallest of us, but we all knew he would be, after we met his father and everything. Sapphire eyes and blonde hair with a great body equals great looks. I think Kimiko has a crush.

Omi… looks about the same. He probably will never change much. I know he secretly longs for some hair to appear on that bald head, but everyone knows it's never coming. Maybe we could buy him a wig.

As for me, I've gotten taller… and I look like most college guys who work out. My hair is short, much the same style as when I was younger cause I'm too lazy to look for something different. I would say my eyes have changed the most, too. Jack and I have more in common than most would think.

The forest green color remains, but there is something that just says, "I know." And that "I know" puts our enemies on edge long before we approach them. All except Jack; his eyes say, "Fine. You can know. It won't help you in the long run." Maybe that is why I think he has grown the most of all of us.
