"Want to go for a walk?" he said offering his hand. We had spent the day at a friend's house just hanging out. I took it without hesitating, and he walked me outside to the backyard deck. The backyard of our friend's house was pure woods. It was beautiful, especially at night when the stars would shine above and the moon casting a small glow over the treetops. We walked down the stairs of the deck and began to step into the trees. We held hands and we walked and walked and walked. After awhile, we hit a small clearing in the trees. It was the perfect spot to sit and talk. A small stream ran through the right of the clearing, while every other side was blocked in my trees. Various wildflowers sat in patches scattered in random spots, and a few lightning bugs flew in the sky. The only light in the clearing was the small shine off the water from the moon and the lightning bugs. He led me to the very center and we sat down. I crawled into his lap and we just sat. We then moved to lie down on the forest floor. My head on his chest, we looked up at the stars. It was the most romantic spot I had ever seen. We stared up at the night sky for awhile, and then he sat up and moved me to his lap again. We stared into each others' eyes. It was an unbreakable gaze, where nothing to tear us away from the other. He then leaned in slowly and kissed me softly. His hands went around my waist, mine around his neck. We held that kiss, totally lost in each other. We pulled apart, only for me to lay my head on his shoulder and for him to whisper silently, "I love you."
