Wasn't Meant To Be
Moving to Los Angeles had been easy or so she thought. The decision seemed simple. Her family needed her. Her mother needed her. She couldn't abandon the one person who had supported her through life. Who hadn't judged her in her moments of weakness and depravity. Who had seen her best sides and worst.
Sighing, she struggled to ignore the thoughts of past that threatened to engulf her. He had seen her at her best and worst, in moments of weakness and despair and yet had not judged her. He had become her pillar of strength and shoulder to lean on. And as cliche as that sounded, it was true. He was like no other she had ever met, or would ever meet.
Did she regret their parting? Maybe. But if it wasn't meant to be, it wasn't meant to be.
But oh how she wished it was.
