Summary: Lizzie, Miranda, and Gordo are seniors and for spring break, they have plans to go on a cruise. When Matt has to come along, will it ruin everything or just make it more the merrier?

Chapter 1

All Planned Out

"I can't wait for the cruise!" Lizzie talking to her boyfriend on the phone, "I mean it bites that my parents are making me take Matt along for their little voyage in France, but oh well."

"Yeah," Gordo said, agreeing with her. Gordo and Lizzie had been going out for four years now, ever since the fiasco in Rome. Once they were seniors, they decided to plan a special trip for their spring break. After a lot of discussion with parents and everyone, they finally settled on going on a cruise to the Virgin Islands. Lizzie was really getting excited about spending this time with her friends until her mom dropped the bombshell that Matt would be joining them as well.

Matt was Lizzie's younger, freshman brother. While he'd grown up in the past four years and became a lot nicer, but still, Lizzie wanted her freedom without her little brother.

They were leaving in less than a week.

"Do you think there's a chance that Matt will find somewhere else to go for the week? I mean, this is supposed to be between friends."

"Lighten up, Liz," Gordo said, "It won't be too bad. He'll probably find his own friends and have his own fun.

"Yeah. I just hope Miranda doesn't mind," Lizzie said.

"She won't. In fact, she'll probably be happy to have company when you and I are not around."

"Yeah, I just hope she doesn't feel like a chaperone."

Just then, Miranda walked into Lizzie's room, "Hey, Lizzie."

"Gordo, I have to go. Miranda is here."

"Okay. I love you."

"I love you, too," Lizzie said, and she hung up the phone.

"You didn't have to hang up," Miranda said, "I would have waited."

"Well, Gordo can wait, too."

"So, how's packing going?"

"Ugh!" Lizzie said, "Hideously. I need to go shopping."

"Yeah, same here."

"I am so excited about this cruise!" Lizzie exclaimed.

"Same here. I just hope there will be some cute guys there."

"Oh, there will be. Speaking of guys, I have something I need to tell you."

"What?"

Lizzie rolled her eyes at the pure thought of all of this, "Well, my mom just informed me that Matt has to go with us to the Islands."

"Are you kidding me?" Miranda asked, not happy about this, "You mean we actually have to chaperone your little brother? Doesn't he have any friends to stay with or anything?"

"No, they are all leaving the country. Not that I blame them. If I had a friend like Matt, I would flee the country every opportunity I had."

Miranda laughed at Lizzie's statement, "Oh well, he's getting his own room, right?"

"Yeah, he's in a joint room with Gordo."

"That will be interesting," Miranda said.

Lizzie shrugged, "I just hope he doesn't sink the ship or anything."

Just then, Matt entered the room.

"Ugh. Don't you ever knock?" Lizzie asked.

Matt rolled his eyes, "Only when I have to. Listen, will you take me shopping? I need to get a new bathing suit."

Lizzie rolled her eyes, "Can't you see I have a guest? Anyway, can't mom take you?"

"No. I don't trust mom or dad. Can you at least take me tomorrow?"

"Fine," she said.

"Hey, Miranda," Matt said, "Did you hear the good news? I'm going with you on the cruise."

Miranda smiled, "Yeah, I heard."

"I think it will be a lot of fun," Matt said.

"Me too," Miranda said.

"I'm looking forward to it," Matt said, smiling.

"Matt, will you leave already?" Lizzie asked.

"Fine," he said and left, closing the door behind him.

"Ugh, Brothers can be so annoying sometimes!" Lizzie said.

"He isn't that bad!" Miranda said, "Just maybe a little lost."

"Yeah, will somebody please direct him to that think called maturity?"

"Well, he's a lot more mature than some of the guys in our grade," Miranda pointed out.

Lizzie shrugged, "Maybe. I don't know. Maybe I'm just mad because he is ruining our ticket to freedom over the spring break."

The next day, Lizzie took Matt shopping and Gordo tagged along to keep Lizzie company. As he was in the dressing room, Gordo and Lizzie talked.

"We have to find something for him to do on the cruise to keep him away from us," Lizzie said, low enough to where only Gordo could hear her.

"I know, but what?"

"I don't know. Maybe Miranda can distract him."

Gordo raised his eyebrow, "You want to force Miranda to babysit him? Is that fair to Miranda?"

"Only at night," Lizzie said, kissing Gordo on the cheek, "That way we can take walks and spend some time alone without Matt ruining everything."

Gordo shrugged, "Maybe he'll find a girlfriend for himself."

"Maybe," Lizzie said, wrapping her arms around Gordo and pulling him into a kiss, "I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

The day before the cruise was supposed to start, Miranda came over to Lizzie's house.

"That's it! I really need a boyfriend!" she said, pacing Lizzie's room.

"Why?" Lizzie asked, packing her clothes.

"Because! I miss going on dates and looking forward to calls guys!"

Lizzie rolled her eyes, "Miranda, that's just stupid."

"Easy for you to say! You have Gordo, remember?"

Lizzie smiled, "How could I forget?"

"I just wish I had some guy like that," Miranda said.

"Don't we all."

"Lizzie!" Miranda said, rolling her eyes, "You aren't helping."

"I'm sorry. It won't be too bad! It'll be fun, even if you are single."

"Yeah, but what about when you and Gordo want to be alone?" Miranda asked, "Are you just going to stick me with Matt and have that be the end of it?"

Lizzie shrugged, "Matt will probably find his own thing to do."

"Great," Miranda said, sighing, "Then I'll be all alone!"

Miranda whimpered as Lizzie finished packing. In the meantime, Matt was packing in his own room and could overhear everything they were saying.

"Don't worry, Miranda," Matt said to himself, "I'll make you happy. If it's the last thing I do, I'll make you happy while we are on this trip."
