"Dom, have you seen Kel lately," Neal asked Dom impatiently, "or got word from her?" Dom looked at Neal angrily. "Have you?"was his only reply. "Dom, something's happened to Kel I can just feel it," I said nervously. "Neal what are you wondering about know?" it was Merric. He had just walked over to the corner where they were standing in the mess hall. "Something's happened to Kel, I can feel it," I said nervously while I was starting to get a major headache.
"Dom, maybe you should trust Neal, remember the last time he felt something?" Merric had touched a nerve. "Yes, I remember that time, but I don't want to remember it," Dom scowled at the other two. "You three Lord Wyldon wants you with the rest of Kel's friends," it was Seaver one of my friends. "Told you something happened to her, Dom," I wanted to yell at Dom but I only whispered. As we all gathered in his office we held our breath. "Kel is missing," he said sternly, but I could hear the worry in his voice.
"The king has issued a warning to not go across the border to save anyone," he started, "we do not know if she has been kidnaped or killed or what." We stared at him insanely. "We have to do something," was the cry that surrounded all around me. Dom and I were the only ones who fell to the ground and wouldn't get up. We knew it was childish but plans started forming in our heads. "We leave at dawn, unless we get a message," I said sharply when everybody was silent.
"Actually, we do have a message," we stared at him pissed off. We made our way toward him before he started reading the letter.
Help! I've been kidnaped and taken over the border. Don't save me it would be your heads. Listen to me all of you! Do not break your oaths to the Crown. You have a duty and I would not want to see you killed because of me. Dom, Neal, friends I'm sorry. I have failed you, I have failed everyone. I give up now knowing there is no hope. I have no weapons and very little food. Even if you did come find me I would probably be dead by then. Forgive me! Kel
"We have to find her," we all said when he finished. "Did you not hear what she wrote, you have a duty to the crown especially you Roald. What would your father say?" "He did it when their was a battle and Alanna got taken over the river. He told me, now it's my turn." We told him he was being crazy before Lord Wyldon could even say so. "Great idea, Roald, if you go none of us can die." Lord Wyldon looked down at the letter. "Find her you guys, before the worst happens." That's all we heard before we ran out the door and to the stables.
"Where do you think you guys are going, and no I'm not going with you," Lord Raoul said defiantly to the knights who were crowding around him. "Raoul you have to go, should we tell Buri?" they knew it would get to him eventually. They started walking away. "Three...two...one," said Dom who was walking beside me. "Fine I'll go with you,"he said.
