A/N Uh. So... I watched the sneak-peek and pretty much died when I saw that Cas paired up with a fallen angel. Like, seriously. As much as it hurts that he isn't going back the the boys, I understand why he's not, and I love the idea of Cas having angelic companionship after all this time. Anyway, I'm the tiniest bit obsessed with second person POVs for some reason right now, so... forgive me. Also, OUTSIDER POV'S ARE SO MUCH FUN. When he was my wingless guardian
Fall
In flames, in ice, in punishment,
As your wings crumble in the blaze,
And you wonder, amidst the agony,
What you did to deserve it.
Crash
Into a forest, an Earth forest,
Where the grass is wet and the leaves are dead,
And you can feel the cold,
And you wish you were back home.
Weep
And watch in awe ad amazement and fear,
As those silvery tears land on the ground,
And you touch them, and truthfully,
You didn't expect them to be warm.
Scream
At the sky that you can't see beyond,
Where the clouds cover up the mess,
That is Heaven but you still miss it,
Because there is nothing left.
Watch
Wide eyed, as He stumbles forward,
On unsteady feet that once belonged,
To a friend, a brother, a comrade,
A leader, a God, your favorite angel.
Hope
When you look in his eyes, even though,
The blue is filled with loss and guilt and humanity,
Because now, you can breathe this air you need,
And believe that you will be saved.
