I wrote this some time ago. My daughter had just got two Furbies. A small English/Furbish dictionary comes with each Furby. Well I'm sitting there Furby in one hand, English/Furbish dictionary in the other, trying to figure out what the thing is saying when I got the idea for this story. It just struck me as funny at the time. I'm planning a stargate story soon. If you like I could add this scene to it.

SG-1, Hammond, and the Scoobys were seated around the conference table talking. Buffy looked over at Daniel. Their eyes met and both could see the desire in the other's eyes. It was to soon for them to leave, so Buffy in an attempt to distract them asked Daniel, "What languages do you speak?"
Daniel's eyes never left Buffy's eyes as he distractedly answered, "I speak 22 languages fluently. English, Latin, Arabic, Russian, German, Turkish, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Cantonese, Furbish, Gaelic . . . " pausing he blushed as he realized what he had just said.
Everyone froze looking at him in shock. Quivering with suppressed laughter Buffy asked, "You speak Furbish?"
