That trainer from two years ago. She'd heard so much about him, how strong and amazing he'd been in the face of Team Plasma, and yet she'd never heard a name. Now she stood face to face with the man who'd saved her from Kyurem's icicles, and he was smiling at her. This was the person that trainer had faced, the one who'd wanted to separate people from Pokemon.

"Thanks," she said. "If you and Reshiram hadn't shown up, I'd be frozen."

"You remind me of him," the man said. "Such bright eyes, such clear conviction. The way you stood your ground against Ghetsis...you saved Reshiram. If anything, I should be thanking you."

"That trainer," Rosa mused. "Everyone talks about him, and yet no one says his name. Why is that?" A thought struck her. "Unless something terrible happened. He's not-"

"He isn't," N said. "I get a letter from him every week. No, people just like to be cryptic when they discuss heroes." He laughed a little. "The boy's name is Hilbert, and I'll never forget him as long as I live. Because of him, I learned so much about the world beyond what I'd been taught my whole life." His face became wistful. "He left Unova to explore other regions, though. I miss him...every day I miss him."

The look in his eyes didn't escape Rosa, but she chose not to think too hard on it. His feelings towards that boy weren't her business, after all.

"I'm sure he feels the same way about you, N," she said. "I'm glad we could meet."

"As am I." N smiled. "You and your Pokemon should head to the Pokemon League and put your truths to the test. You're a strong trainer, I've seen you at work and I just know you'll come out on top!" Rosa nodded, extending a hand to him.

"I will!"

He shook her hand, and then departed on Reshiram. Rosa sighed, holding her hands to her chest and closing her eyes. What a kind person. Hilbert certainly was a lucky boy.
