Authors Note: For those who have been waiting for chapter three of Forgotten Potions I haven't had any idea's lately for it so it's being put off for now (sorry). I was bored in school and made a cheap little fic, the characters are pretty OOC so I hope no one minds. No idea if it'll go anywhere ^_^ that's up to you readers!
Golden Nightmares
Lina woke up with a start, cold sweat running down her face. She looked around nervously to see if anyone else was awake. Zelgadis and Amelia where sleeping peacefully in their sleeping bags, Gourry was sleeping across from Lins.
"Huh?" She thought "Gourry was taking watch, if he's asleep.." She glanced over to where Gourry was last sitting, only to see Xellos looking at her. His amethyst eyes slightly open and a small smile on his face. Lina got up and walked toward him, wrapping her bare arms around herself.
"Hey Xellos, How long have you been here?" Lina asked. "Long enough Miss. Lina, please have a seat" he replied gesturing beside him. Lina shrugged and sat down next to him. He removed his cloak and wrapped it around her. "Ah, thanks Xellos" Lina said a bit puzzled. "So having nightmares again I see?" Xellos pointed out, regaining his usual fruitcake grin.
"Yeah" she replied, laughing nervously "How did you guess?" she asked gazing up at him. "Well now, that, is a secret!" he replied cheerily. Lina groaned, after all she knew better.
"Maybe I can help Miss Lina" he suggested "Tell me about them, when did they start?" "I guess there is no harm in that" she said shrugging "they started right after I had beaten Hell master" she began. Xellos was actually paying attention for once. "In the dream, I'm a little girl and I'm in a room of darkness, the only thing giving off light is me"
"Go on" Xellos urged. Lina sighed "I'm crying because I don't want to leave this safe place but I'm not scared; then a golden orb shaped light appears in the distance and beckons me to approach, as I get closer I can see a lady of glittering beauty inside who kneels before me and pulls me into her arms"
Xellos's eyes widen a bit, but Lina doesn't notice. "It can't be her though" he thinks to himself. Lina continues without notice. "She says to me I'm the only one who can help her, that I do not belong in the darkness, I'm so sad in my dream because I don't want to leave her alone" Lina sighs, as a tear falls down her cheek. Xellos uses his gloved finger to remove the tear. "Then the darkness fades away to light and the last thing her tender voice says to me is, "my children will help you", and then I wake up" she finishes.
Lina glances over to Xellos, his eyes wide and then turning into a tender gaze, a look she thought monsters where incapable of.
"What do you think Xellos?" Lina asked leaning back against the tree "Do you think I should be worried?"
Xellos gave his little mysterious smile and replied "No Miss Lina, I don't think so" Lina nodded, feeling sleep take her again "Thanks Xellos.you know, you're not so bad, for a monster that is" she stated before falling asleep. Xellos knelt over Lina, studying her and contemplating her dream. " I should have know it would be you Dearest Lina" he said, although smirking he was quite happy and atually releaved. He gave her a long tender kiss before he teleported back to the Greater Beast, Zelas Metallium, Oh yes he had much to report!
And, hat's it Guys, I wrote this the other day but I had to fix it up and change a bit in it. I know Xellos is a b it mushy but hey I like em' that way! LOL PLEASE R&R.no flames please!
