She was young and fair,

and extremely admired.

She fell for a blacksmith,

both timid and sweet.

But because their ranks varied,

that love had to be discreet.

A handsome Commodore,

loved her too.

But his attempts to woo her,

never went through.

She considered him a friend,

nothing more.

It broke his heart,

and left him sore.

She was abducted,

by a pirate crew.

And away they sailed,

as the wind fairly blew.

The blacksmith followed,

she was his life.

Later she agreed,

to become his wife.

They were happily in love,

and had a son.

But for every ten years,

Will had to be gone.
