For the love of their father
Disclaimer: Sorry I don't own the Ninja Turtles – I never invented them.
I take my hat off to Eastman and Laird – they created them about 20 years ago.
Hope you all enjoy this one.
WARNING: Could be a sad ficcy…. Make sure if you cry in sad movies – have a tissue or two handy.
"Leave me alone!" Raphael tried to stomp out of the lair, when Leonardo stoped him.
"Please Raph, we need you here – don't leave us," The oldest turtle pleaded, his heart ached. His whole world had tumbled around him and he needed his brothers present to help him through this. They too were crying out in pain, they all were hurting from their sudden loss. They had known for years this could one day happen to them, Splinter had warned them.
Raphael looked at his older brother who looked like he was about to crack. He wanted to scream at his brother to let it out, because that's probably the only thing left to do. What else was there to do?
"I need fresh air Leo!" Raphael too was ready to break down, but he didn't think he could do it in front of his brothers. He wasn't known for showing his personal side, he was known for letting off steam in a physical way – like busting skulls.
"Raph, brother…" Leonardo cried out, as Raphael turned back to him. Raphael looked his brother a single tear was shed through the blue mask.
Raphael then looked towards the door of the carriage where he knew his other two brothers were. Don had been the one to go after Mikey who had run straight to his room, being the youngest and the most emotional brother broke down immediately. Poor Mikey was now a heaving lump in Don's arms. Donetello was also silently crying, as he held onto the youngest turtle.
Being the scientist and also the logical turtle, for the first time in his life – he could not think in such a way. For now he could not tell what the future held for the four mutant creatures that inhabited New York's sewers.
Raphael felt for those two. He wished he was like Mikey – able to turn on like a running tap. Raphael had not cried in years – not since he was a little child and had gotten in trouble by his father.
His father, just the thought of the one who raised him, he broke down right there. He let out a huge scream "SPLINTER!" Raphael lost control of his body and his feet buckled beneath him and he fell onto the ground. "Why did you have to leave us?" Raphael let out.
"Raph!" Leonardo fell next to his brother and embraced his little brother who he had not embraced in years. He too began to cry into his brother's arms.
Having heard the scream and thud, two other turtles came out and saw the other two on the ground in the entrance of the lair. Mikey ran immediately to them and they let him into the embrace, as they cried into Mikey's shoulder also. Donnie soon joined them and all that could be seen was four shells that occasionally heaved a sob from their owner.
They were now a family of four brothers, four brothers who happened to be turtles.
The End
