Hey Everybody. This is my first PJATO story. It is really just a drabble that came to me. My idea was this. Jason is shown as becoming very, very Greek by the end. Without memories, he was just kinda sculpted into one. Would the same thing happen to Percy? Why the hell not. After all, he is spending a long time in an "Adapt or Die" society. He must change. I do not own PJATO. It belongs to Rick Riordan.

Every time she came, she offered to answer one question. Every time he would simply ask "who was I?" Every time she would answer simply with "A hero". Every time she came he was colder, more like the Romans. Her answers stayed the same until one day the question changed. "Who am I now?" he asked. "You were Percy Jackson, once a hero and general of the Greeks. But, no longer. Now, you are Perseus, praetor of the first legion, leader of men and gods, leader of mighty Rome."

And so he remained. Juno had told him so, and therefore he was. And then, one last time, Juno had come to him, and he knew what the question must be. "Will I ever regain my memories?"

But he did not need to ask. He already knew the welcome and unwelcome answer before it passed her lips. "No. The switch was meant to be permanent, and to restore your memories now would jeopardize that."

He had known what she would say, welcomed it even. Life in Castra Roma was simple really. Live or die. Kill or be killed. He had learned that lesson well, Lupa's favorite pup since Romulus and Remus. It was what he was.

Eventually the Greeks came. He recognized only one. A black haired huntress. She was not like the others. That would be the influence of the Hunt on her. There was one, a gold haired child if Athena, who swore she had been his girlfriend. He did not know her. He did not want her. He already had Reyna, the wicked, cunning daughter of Pluto. The child of Athena (The weakling daughter of Greece) would soon die on mount Olympus in the final combat of the children of the gods.

He stood before his gods upon mount Olympus. He had saved their world yet again. In return, they offered him immortality. He grabbed it with both hands.

He stood at the summit of the earth and sky, once again on mount Olympus. The shattered thrones of the gods stood around him, destroyed by the new king of the earth. Around him, the gods he had worshipped died, faded. Soon only one was left. "Perseus... Why?"

He shook his head. He was happy to see the birth of a new age, but also sad. For a new age to be born, an old age must die. "Because, Juno, only the strong survive. You made me strong. But you were weak. So I took your place. For an eternity, the children of the old must take the place of their parents when the time comes. Such is life."

He stood on his palace with his queen, the lady of life and death, the lovely Reyna, at his side. They had conquered. They lived. Such was right.

Well, there it was. Hope you liked it.
