Polypoly: n. A company or group having exclusive control over any and all commercial activity.

It started with a local monopoly and grew into a single global one. And didn't stop.
Artemis was not content with control, however complete, over merely one aspect of the world market. He wanted to control it all, and nothing could deter him.
He became the polyp of the coral that branched out and replaced the old economies of the world with a single worldwide economy which fed to him directly. Soon, all consumers were just the zooxanthellae who provided Artemis with his nourishment – they never noticed the spreading limestone, until far too late.
Eventually, the polyp's polypoly was absolute.
A/N: 100 words exactly.
Quick! Someone think of a 12LH I can count this as! Which one do you think is more justifiable: Middle-Aged Artemis (because he presumably is; but it doesn't focus on his age at all) or Clever Criminal Plot, Sans World Domination (because it wasn't really world domination, just control of All Teh Moneyz in the World; but I guess it rather misses the clever part)?
Well, I'll figure something out. In the meantime, I'll continue to make the Author's Note longer than the fic by ranting about pronunciation.
Zooxanthellae (zoo-zan-thell-ee).
Polyp (paw-lip).
Polypoly (paw-lip-paw-lee). (I got to make up how this word is pronounced, since I invented it.Wootyay.)
I give ten points to the Hogwarts house of whoever knows off the top of their head what zooxanthellae are. (And, hands up, who understands why the fact that the "consumers" become the zooxanthellae is hilarious? Oh, how I love wordplay.)
