Ginny Weasley sighed as she watched Neville go upstairs. She had finally got him to go to the Gryffindor Tower after she saw Hermione Granger run out upset. Now she could go look for her friend. Hermione was no where to be found inside, so Ginny went to look in the courtyard. There was no sight of Hermione.

Ginny kicked off her shoes and stepped in a snow bank. Neville Longbottom was not a very good dancer and her feet were feeling the effects of this. She really hoped the night would end up like one of those muggle fairytales Hermione had told her about. Unfortunately, Neville was not a prince charming. The snow helped to stop the throbbing pain in her feet. Ginny didn't even dwell on how silly she looked standing knee deep in the snow.

"Oi! Weasley what are you doing?" A voice called out.

Ginny turned her head and saw the Triwizard Champion Cedric Diggory coming up to her.

"Longbottom hurt your feet?"

Ginny nodded unable to speak.

"You're going to catch a cold if you stay out in the cold like this." Without saying a word, Cedric picked up Ginny put her shoes on and carried her inside. "Now," Cedric said with a grin, "how about a proper dance?"

Cedric and Ginny spun around and around in each other's arm. The clock stuck midnight and Cedric leaned down, bid her goodnight and kissed her cheek. Ginny floated back to her common room feeling a bit like Cinderella for the first time in her life.
