Author's Note:
I will DEFINITELY be writing a TON more Finnick & Annie fanfics. They are one of my FAVORITE couples and they deserve some love! This was just something short I thought of and wanted to share! I want to write a whole, long story for them and will be updating "Of Sea and Stars" soon! I'm sorry if you're anxiously awaiting the next installment! I've been really busy with other writings and school and I just haven't been very focused on it. But I promise I will be!
Love y'all bunches! Thanks for all of the views and favorites and follows! Y'all are amazing!
XOXO,
OceansAria
It was one of those rare days where she was here, and she loved me back.
She smiled up at me tenderly, her green eyes alight with an inner fire, and raised her hand to my face. Her fingers gently traced my lips, and I shivered beneath her touch. My hands tightened hesitantly on her waist, trying not to push her to her limit just yet. I wanted her to stay around for a little while longer. I wanted her to be mentally here with me. I wanted her to see me, and not the faces of dead tributes and their blood being spilled on her small hands.
I pushed the cinnamon curls out her eyes as she stood on tiptoe and pressed herself against me. My pulse beat wildly. I could feel hers hammering as well—could see the fluttering of her vein in her neck. Her scent overwhelmed me: the smell of fresh laundry that had been hung out on a line at her family's beach cottage and a gentle floral aura.
She was the only one to ever make me feel this way.
As she glanced up at me under those thick eyelashes, I knew right then and there that there had to be a God, because no one else could have crafted such a beautifully captivating being.
As our lips brushed lightly and I groaned, she gasped shakily, and I knew that I had lost her to her memories once again when she pushed herself out of my grasped and screamed.
She didn't see me anymore.
All she saw was blood.
