Captain Holly short of the LEPrecon was walking with her former arch nemesis, Artemis Fowl the second. She had been dressed in a pink shirt with a very red Elmo on it and was complaining like any other sane person would do.
"This is so degrading!" She yelled. She tried to force her hand from Artemis grip to cross her arms over Elmo, but his hold was tight, and he wouldn t let go. She moaned in complaint and sighed.
A rusty old truck came behind them as the window rolled down. It was with force, and Holly could tell. She looked over at him and her eyes got wide. It was a dingy man driving, with a wicked smile on his face.
"Hey kid, want some candy?" He asked, his eyes on Holly. She screamed an ear-splitting scream and Artemis turned to the driver.
"Excuse me but me and my little sister must be going now,bye! " The little genius yelled, trying to run. The man jumped out of the window to his car and smiled a dangerous smile. Artemis noticed he smelled alcohol on the man s breath, and saw there was a beer bottle in his hand. After this realisation was made there was a crash and Artemis was out cold. The man had hit him in the head with the bottle.
When Artemis woke from his deep slumber, he heard another bloodcurdling scream. He saw it was coming from a dark, dainty cave. He got up and all the blood rushed to his head. He didn t care and ran towards the cave, ignoring all the stares he was getting from the passerbys. It s what normally happens when blood is gushing from your forehead, right?
He walked into the cave, and was immediately wet. There was drips coming from the ceiling of the great hollowed rock. He grimaced and went towards the sound of Holly s shrieks. He took out his pocket flash light he always kept with him. It came in handy since it was also a laser. He turned it on and heard another piercing scream. It was close, Artemis noted. He walked toward it and saw the heads of two burly man, one the same one from the truck. Artemis ducked behind a big rock and picked up a giant rock, well one big enough for him to carry. He walked a little closer to the men. Holly saw him, but she was gagged and could do nothing but scream, over and over and over. He put his index finger to his lips, indicating her to be quiet. The men were talking amongst themselves, looking at each other, then back at the auburn haired kid . Artemis walked to the first man and hit him with the rock, causing him to fall over, unconscious.
The other man yelled in shock. As soon as that happened, Artemis switched the button on his flashlight, causing it to laser the guy in the stomach. He fell over in pain and Artemis hurried to Holly. He lasered the shackles restraining her and helped her down from the wall she was chained to, which Artemis hadn t noticed. He had only noticed she was chained up and the men were there, not that she was on a wall.
Holly jumped into his arms and he sat her down. Holly walked over to the man still awake and kicked him in his injured stomach. He let out a scream for himself. Holly walked over to the unconscious man and kick him in the head. She led the way out of the cave and back to the Fowl Manor.
