hi. this isn't a fic, this is a message to the authors of the Rio fanfiction community. please stop posting things in the archive that aren't stories! i know i'm not helping by posting this, but i need to get this message out there.
when i checked the recently updated fics in the archive a few minutes ago, SEVEN of TWENTY-FIVE that appear on the first page aren't real stories. that's 28%!
one of them is a message to an anonymous reviewer
one is a rant about Donald Trump
one is an introduction
three are Q&A's
none of these are revelant to rio, why are they posted as fanficrions? they shouldn't be! so today, i'm going to give some advice on where you can post these things and not clog the archive up with them!
if you want to respond to a reviewer, PM them and if they are anonymous, you're shit out of luck because you can't contact them unless through reviews, but then a story's review page gets clogged with messages that aren't reviews for the story, so just dont bother with this one.
rants? post it in the forums.
introductions? thats what your bio is for.
Q&A's? post that in the forums.
easy solutions! so please dont post stuff that isn't a story where stories are meant to go. i don't want to come across as a douche or an asshole, but it gets annoying seeing all these stories that aren't stories and are irrevelant to the category they are posted under. thanks for reading
